Song of the Day: "Pretty in PInk" by the Psychedelic Furs

Another song of the day, because, really, we can't live on just one song a day. A friend of mine just had a "Pretty in Pink" themed bridal shower and posted about it on Facebook.

Of course, that led me to think about the John Hughes movie of the same name, and then the soundtrack. I used to have the soundtrack, and this song, "Pretty in Pink" by The Psychedelic Furs never got old. It still doesn't.

Those of you who are John Hughes fans know he always brought his forward-thinking and über-hip music sensibility to his teen films. I tend to write music into my screenplays and, though I'm told it's a terrible thing to do—no producer wants to think about paying for all those royalties—I remain self-indulgent.

I dream of the time when I am so noted I get carte blanche when it comes to soundtracks. I remain, ever, the Duckman, as well as an enthusiastic DJ.
