Song of the day: "Dazzle" by Siouxsie and the Banshees

My song of the day is "Dazzle" by Siouxsie and the Banshees. They are such a weird, swirly, wonderful, goth, magical band. Their sound is otherworldly, in the vein of The Cure, and Siouxsie Sioux is, of course, a goddess, although in his biography Morrissey describes her personality as "glacial."

What stands out to me besides the momentous rhythms and the classical music intro and outro in "Dazzle" is the lyrics. It's a study in imagery and metaphor: "Skating bullets on angel dust/In the dead sea of fluid mercury/Baby piano cries under your heavy index and thumb/Pull some strings/Let them ring."

Whatever they were taking when they devised this classic, I'll have some of that.
