Writing Post of the Day. . .

So, today's featured quote by Franz Kafka sounds kind of dramatic. But it's totally true.

And if you are the kind of person who expects a lot of yourself, maybe too much, you may write and be unhappy that you didn't write more. Today: One news story and two epigrams. So far. The evening is still young, though!



As "In Cold Blood" writer Truman Capote (read his electrifying Paris Review interview ) once said, "When God hands you a gift, he also hands you a whip; and the whip is intended for self-flagellation solely."

And now onto Kafka and a grim warning for all of you wordsmiths.
