My song of the day, actually my second song of the day, is "Shatter" by Liz Phair off her 1993 debut album Exile in Guyville.
The guitar in this song and the lo-fi but layered production are beyond belief. The build-up to this song, before any words are sung, is like taking a bubble bath in a tub full of wistfulness.
