There's a wonderful throwback sound to "Come Back to Me" by X and a touch of keening honkey-tonk. Way back in 1982, John Doe and Exene Cervenka were emerging from punk a bit and creating music that was, and remains timeless.
There are so many groups aiming for just this sound right now.
